System Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Migdal Ha'emek, Israel; onsite role with worldwide customer-site assistance as required.

Develops metrology and inspection systems and solutions for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, with a focus on optical overlay measurement and process control.

What you will do

• Develop and implement design improvements for released products and next-generation systems.
• Participate in systems design improvement, specification validation, testing, and solution implementation.
• Gather and analyze data from customer systems to identify systematic and intermittent issues.
• Respond to complex field escalations through written action plans, remote support, and hands-on assistance at customer sites worldwide.
• Design multidisciplinary experiments, prepare and peer-review test plans and reports, and perform root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with service, manufacturing, engineering, marketing, and external vendors while troubleshooting and maintaining engineering prototypes.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related field.
• Experience in systems engineering or building complex systems, with strong system-level thinking.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools such as JMP, MATLAB, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional internal teams, division management, and external customers.
• Self-driven approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing, optical-mechanical systems, wafer handling systems, or servo control systems.
• Previous experience with yield and process control instrument systems for the semiconductor industry.
