Experienced Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Rehovot, Israel; onsite role. Travel required for 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

What you will do

• Design structural elements, optomechanical systems, high-precision mechanisms, pneumatic and vacuum systems, manual and motorized mechanisms, filtration systems, and cooling systems for clean-room environments.
• Design and execute experiments and perform CAE simulations for structural, modal, thermal, and flow analysis, design validation, and troubleshooting.
• Author drawings and define fabrication processes, materials, finishing standards, detailed GD&T, and complex tolerance analyses.
• Lead the mechanical aspects of development processes and present design reviews.
• Collaborate with optics, physics, controls, electronics, software, project management, manufacturing, field support, and suppliers.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with general mechanical engineering analysis knowledge.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment on fast-paced projects requiring out-of-the-box thinking.
• Ability and willingness to learn and explore new topics.
• Ability to work as a team player in large, multidisciplinary teams with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and a fast learner.
• Highly proficient in CAD software.
• Experience with CAE software for structural, modal, thermal, and flow analysis.
• Skill in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• High presentation skills and fluent English.
