Senior RF Device Modelling and Characterisation Engineer (GaN MMIC)

What you will do

• Perform on-wafer characterization of GaN devices, including pulsed DC-IV and S-parameter measurements up to 67 GHz using vector network analyzers.
• Conduct on-wafer active load-pull measurements to validate large-signal performance.
• Develop de-embedding, parasitic extraction, and automated characterization and modelling processes, including AI-based methods.
• Develop and maintain GaN HEMT compact device models for Keysight ADS and Cadence AWR Microwave Office.
• Develop and verify passive models using foundry PDK models and 2.5D/3D electromagnetic simulation.
• Work with the MMIC design team to assess fabrication processes and troubleshoot differences between simulated and measured results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, RF, or related Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in RF/microwave testing and applications engineering.
• Strong knowledge of RF device modelling and on-wafer characterization.
• Experience with Keysight ADS, Cadence AWR Microwave Office, and/or 2.5D and 3D electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS.
• Proficiency with probe stations, pulsed DC-IV systems, VNAs, and other RF semiconductor test equipment.
• Software skills in Python, MATLAB, or C for process automation.
