Electromechanical Field Service Technician III

Location: Charlotte, NC, US; home-office and/or customer-site based, with travel as necessary and possible shift work.

What you will do

• Respond to service calls and perform maintenance, installation, repair, and operational support for complex electromechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures, then implement repairs that minimize customer downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, equipment inventories, parts inventories, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Escalate technical and service issues while coordinating communication between technical support, management, and customer representatives.
• Support onsite training and development for less experienced Field Engineers.
• Travel within the home territory and to other territories as needed, including coverage for other Field Engineers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least four years of work experience, including two years in a field service environment.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical equipment required, including the ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems and understand electronic principles.
• Working knowledge of computer systems, PCs, networking, and G+D software; ability to use a laptop or tablet for administrative and diagnostic tasks.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and previous customer-facing experience required.
• Personal vehicle use required; willingness to obtain gaming licenses in required jurisdictions may apply to Commercial Field Engineers.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or certificate/diploma from a trade or technical school.
• Experience with solenoids, belts, rollers, bearings, pneumatics, and guides.
