Junior Legal Counsel

Location: hirify.global’s regional headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 per year plus bonus

hirify.global develops automated, temperature-controlled logistics facilities and transport networks serving food manufacturers, retailers, and food service providers.

What you will do

• Advise North American leadership and operational teams on practical, business-oriented legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, customer, logistics, technology, and other commercial agreements.
• Manage legal matters for site acquisition and development, including land purchases, zoning, title, and permitting.
• Provide legal oversight for construction and infrastructure projects, including design-build and EPC agreements.
• Support mergers and acquisitions through due diligence and post-closing integration.
• Advise on labor and employment matters, corporate governance, compliance, entity maintenance, and internal investigations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Illinois.
• 2–5 years of post-JD legal experience, ideally combining in-house and law firm work.
• Meaningful exposure to construction and real estate transactional law, especially infrastructure development, is strongly preferred.
• Strong commercial awareness, pragmatic judgment, and solutions-oriented legal advice.
• Clear communication skills, strong contract drafting ability, attention to detail, and effective project organization.
• Ability to take ownership of matters, manage multiple priorities, and work with limited oversight.
