Accounts Payable Specialist (Finance)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work model balancing office and remote work.

Salary: €27,300–€45,500 gross per year; total on-target earnings of €30,000–€50,000 including an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Process vendor invoices, including vendor creation and maintenance, purchase order tracking, accounting entries, approvals, and payments.
• Run vendor payments in NetSuite and employee expense payments in Expensify on a bi-monthly basis.
• Review and approve employee expense reports and proactively monitor justified payment delays.
• Reconcile the Accounts Payable ledger with the General Ledger monthly.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities with General Ledger Accountants.
• Improve Accounts Payable processes and collaborate with Treasury, Procurement, Global Accounting, FP&A, and Controlling on forecasting and operational projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar Accounts Payable role.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software; NetSuite experience is advantageous.
• Fluent English and Spanish required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in an organized, structured, hands-on manner.
• Experience with US GAAP and publicly traded companies is advantageous.
