Accounts Payable Manager

Location: Greater Tampa area, with regular weekly in-person collaboration at the Tampa office. Workplace type: Hybrid.

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the full accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, payments, vendor management, and AP aging.
• Manage AP operations across multiple legal entities while maintaining consistent processes, internal controls, and compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Payable team.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and operational leaders to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency.
• Support acquisitions, entity integrations, system implementations, finance transformation, and AP automation initiatives.
• Oversee AP month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, reporting, KPIs, and audit support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
• Experience leading and developing an Accounts Payable team.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be located within the greater Tampa area and available for regular in-person collaboration at the Tampa office.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite ERP.
• Experience with Ramp expense management and corporate card administration.
• Experience in multi-entity organizations, acquisitions, AP automation, OCR, invoice automation, or workflow approval tools.
• Knowledge of 1099 reporting and vendor compliance.
• CPA or another accounting certification.
