(USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach

Location: Taos, New Mexico, United States

Annual salary: $65,000–$100,000, plus performance-based bonuses and applicable pay differentials.

What you will do

• Lead asset protection, safety, claims, receiving, and operational control activities within the facility.
• Investigate fraud, policy violations, and other illegal activities by gathering evidence, taking statements, preparing case reports, and providing courtroom testimony when required.
• Review inventory variances, conduct operational and pre-inventory reviews, audit results, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective controls.
• Monitor safety and risk controls, analyze accident trends, deliver prevention training, and implement workplace safety improvements.
• Hire, train, mentor, supervise, and develop associates while setting expectations and managing performance.
• Coordinate with store managers, associates, stakeholders, and investigative entities to support operational goals and customer service standards.

Requirements

• Completion of two years of college, or qualifying supervisory, asset protection, accounting, claims, inventory control, personnel, or loss prevention experience.
• Successful completion of applicable state requirements for asset protection, including minimum age, training, certification, or licensing where required.
• Current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility where applicable.
• Successful completion of criminal background checks and firearms-authorized training where applicable.
• Completion of all required job trainings and assessments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business or criminal justice.
• Certification in an asset protection or loss prevention field.
• Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination responsibilities.
• Investigative experience.
