Collections Analyst (Finance)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $45,821.66–$64,224.99; exception hourly compensation

What you will do

• Manage an accounts receivable portfolio and execute collection strategies to improve delinquency and reduce Days Sales Outstanding.
• Respond to customer inquiries involving documentation, billing, payments, disputes, program changes, and new sales requests.
• Contact customers regarding past-due receivables, identify reasons for non-payment, and place accounts on credit hold when necessary.
• Monitor customer credit-line compliance, recommend credit-line changes, and prepare or approve over-line requests within the assigned authority.
• Run D&B reports, obtain credit references, and support credit decisions.
• Promote, negotiate, and sell automated or pre-payment options while collaborating with sales offices, plants, customers, and internal partners.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or another business discipline is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in collections or customer service; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience with risk analysis and receivables collection is beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly work against collection metrics.
• PC literacy and basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
