Sr. Consultant, Application Development (Java)

What you will do

• Build, implement, and maintain flexible, scalable microservice solutions for Fixed Income Trading and Capital Markets Operations.
• Deliver complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple backend systems.
• Lead technical design, application development, integration, and infrastructure planning.
• Coordinate complex application programming activities and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Lead multiple projects involving backend systems, new technologies, and enhancements to existing applications.
• Support and mentor intermediate developers through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and problem solving.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on Java EE development experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Spring and Spring Cloud, plus 4+ years of SQL experience.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, MyBatis, Maven, and Git.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Mathematics.
• Ability to work with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources while managing multiple priorities.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fixed Income products and Capital Markets trade-floor client groups.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or another cloud environment.
