Location: Remote (United States, Canada). Must have 6+ hours overlap with PST time zone.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java applications on cloud-based platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Lead the migration of core mail services to a cloud-agnostic architecture.
• Optimize and re-architect infrastructure to improve performance and scalability.
• Integrate solutions with existing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design secure and reliable systems that meet complex business requirements.
• Mentor and lead other engineers through the design and development process.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in backend software development using Java.
• Strong proficiency in RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, large-scale systems, and data structures.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and RDS databases.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps tools and practices.
• Previous leadership experience.
