Electronics Engineer (Quantum Networking)

What you will do

• Refine electronics system requirements and specifications with mechanical, software, FPGA, optics, nanofabrication, and physics teams.
• Perform design calculations and simulations, and select suitable components and equipment.
• Create electronic schematics, system designs, and PCB layouts.
• Organize prototype manufacturing and maintain accurate design documentation.
• Test, debug, and improve complex electronic and optical setups using laboratory equipment.
• Analyze experimental results and support the use of electronic systems across the company.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification in electronics, physics, or a closely related subject.
• Industry experience or a PhD in analogue electronic design.
• Experience with PCB design tools, including design for manufacture and reliability.
• Experience with electronic and/or electromagnetic simulation tools.
• Hands-on testing and experimentation experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and similar equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of high-frequency and RF circuit design, circuit noise, or FPGA technology.
• Ability to solder and rework high-density PCBs.
• Experience integrating sub-assemblies into complete electronic systems.
• Experience with Altium Designer, LTSpice, or Keysight ADS.
