Electronics Engineer (Quantum Networking)

What you will do

• Refine requirements and specifications for electronic systems with multidisciplinary engineering and science teams.
• Perform circuit calculations, simulations, component selection, and system design.
• Create electronic schematics, PCB layouts, and designs for prototype manufacture.
• Test, debug, and improve complex electronic and optical setups in the laboratory.
• Analyse experimental data and maintain accurate design documentation.
• Support the deployment and use of electronic systems across the company.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification in electronics, physics, or a closely related subject.
• Industry experience or a PhD in analogue electronic design.
• Experience with PCB design tools, design for manufacture, and design for reliability.
• Experience with electronic and/or electromagnetic simulation tools.
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and similar test equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Understanding of high-frequency and RF circuit design, electronic noise, or FPGA-based systems.
• Ability to solder and rework high-density PCBs.
• Experience integrating sub-assemblies into complete electronic systems.
• Experience with Altium Designer, LTSpice, or Keysight ADS.
