TL;DR
Senior Vehicle CAE Engineer (EV): Performing NVH, durability, strength, and stiffness simulations for electric vehicle body, chassis, closure, and battery structures with an accent on full-vehicle modeling, design optimization, and CAE-test correlation. Focus on building and debugging ANSA and HyperMesh models, analyzing vibration and durability performance, and improving structural designs against vehicle targets.

Location: Troy, Michigan, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base pay: $85,430.91–$128,146.37.

Company

hirify.global is an automotive startup developing safe, reliable, customizable electric vehicles in the USA.

What you will do

  • Perform NVH and durability simulations for BIW, high-voltage battery structures, trimmed body, and full-vehicle structures.
  • Build, run, and debug full-vehicle NVH and durability models using ANSA and HyperMesh.
  • Analyze simulation results, identify design issues, and recommend improvements through iterative component- and vehicle-level optimization.
  • Support vehicle and component testing and correlate CAE results with physical test data.
  • Apply DOE and design optimization methods and prepare technical reports on findings and improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to meet vehicle performance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
  • 3–5 years of automotive structures CAE experience with exposure to NVH and/or durability analysis.
  • Familiarity with nCode, OptiStruct or NASTRAN, ANSA, and HyperWorks.
  • Understanding of NVH concepts, including source-path-receiver thinking, modal analysis, vibration targets, and frequency response analysis.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and work independently within cross-functional teams.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with random vibration analysis and CAE-test correlation.
  • Structural CAE experience for EV battery enclosures, battery trays, or high-voltage pack integration.
  • Knowledge of EV thermal-management interface loads, battery-module mounting, or e-motor subframe design.
  • Familiarity with FMVSS and US NCAP structural design and crash-performance requirements.

Culture & Benefits

  • Startup-paced environment focused on ingenuity, resourcefulness, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Culture based on safety, customer focus, collaboration, mutual respect, and technical excellence.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Vacation and 401(k) benefits.
  • Potential eligibility for equity and a discretionary annual incentive program.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required; the role requires lifting up to 35 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
