IAMD Analyst (Aerospace)

Salary: $185,000–$195,000 per year

What you will do

• Assess how treaty requirements affect basing, alert postures, exercises, and day-to-day operations.
• Review IAMD policies, concepts, studies, and meeting outputs to identify implications for AF/A10 equities.
• Prepare point papers, white papers, decision memos, and briefings for senior leaders.
• Coordinate with AF/A3, MAJCOMs, joint organizations, and external stakeholders.
• Support Air Force participation in IAMD meetings, exercises, and wargames.
• Track and manage IAMD staff packages to ensure timely and well-supported AF/A10 inputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations research, international security, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IAMD, missile defense, air defense, or related operational or analytic work in a headquarters, MAJCOM, or joint environment.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, including experience producing decision-support products on complex technical or operational topics.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
• On-site work in Arlington, Virginia is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting or analyzing IAMD, defensive counter-air, or counter-UAS missions.
• Familiarity with PPBE and requirements processes as they apply to IAMD capabilities.
