Business System Analyst (Aerospace Manufacturing Systems)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States

Salary: $84,000–$150,000 USD per year, depending on level and qualifications.

What you will do

• Act as the primary point of contact between Technical Product Managers, the IT help desk, and end users across engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
• Document current-state workflows, identify process gaps, and gather functional requirements, use cases, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Triage user requests, questions, and data issues before escalating them to product managers, technical teams, or vendors.
• Support cross-system data mapping, integrations, configuration reviews, solution walkthroughs, and vendor evaluations.
• Create process documentation, training materials, and user guides; support training delivery and super users.
• Support post-go-live stabilization of new features and work evenings or weekends when required for critical mission milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in business analysis or a similar role supporting manufacturing software such as MES or ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to work directly with end users and manage a high volume of concurrent requests.
• Strong analytical, data-validation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control rules or be eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLM, especially Siemens Teamcenter, Manufacturo MES, and/or NetSuite ERP.
• Experience in aerospace or another complex, regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Background as a manufacturing engineer, manufacturing analyst, or business analyst working directly with PLM, MES, or ERP systems.
• Experience translating between technical/system language and functional language.
