Field Technician – Camera, Low Voltage & Access Control

Location: Onsite in Montgomery; field work at schools and educational facilities.

Salary: $17.00–$23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Install, configure, and service IP security cameras and related hardware.
• Install and maintain low-voltage cabling, infrastructure, and access control systems.
• Perform onsite technical work at schools and educational facilities.
• Read installation plans, diagrams, and scope documents.
• Troubleshoot installation and connectivity issues and document completed work.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and administrators while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience with camera installations, low-voltage work, or access control systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spaces.
• Professional demeanor in school environments.

Nice to have

• Experience working in schools, colleges, or public-sector facilities.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards.
• Access control or security system certifications.
• Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, PoE, and switches.
