Head of Operations (Germany) - m/f/d

Location: Germany; responsibility spans multiple warehouses, field sites, and cities across the country.

What you will do

• Lead the Germany-wide Fleet Operations organisation of approximately 280 employees across multiple warehouses and field sites.
• Own the long-term operations strategy, budget, city-level plans, and P&L in partnership with the General Manager – Germany.
• Set operational standards, build accountability, and develop leaders across several layers of management.
• Optimise workflows, costs, KPIs, fleet availability, physical assets, warehouses, facilities, and operational equipment.
• Drive demand-driven workforce and capacity planning, recruitment, and compliance with operational SLAs.
• Manage 3PL providers and vendors while ensuring performance, quality, availability, and health and safety across operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of operational leadership experience in mobility, logistics, last-mile, q-commerce, warehousing, or a related field.
• Experience leading large, distributed blue-collar and field teams through multiple management layers across cities or regions.
• Demonstrated ownership of budgeting, forecasting, cost performance, and P&L for a sizeable operation.
• Strong understanding of operational models, including 3PL structures and workforce or capacity planning.
• Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and use data and AI tools to steer operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, business, or a similar field; full professional proficiency in English and German required.
