Legal Counsel (Gamedev)

hirify.global is an independent gaming studio developing One State, a social role-playing game.

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate publishing, licensing, vendor, partnership, marketing, contractor, and confidentiality agreements, including Terms of Service and EULAs.
• Review game content and creative materials while protecting trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets across jurisdictions.
• Manage intellectual property filings, renewals, disputes, and DMCA matters.
• Advise on compliance with local and international law, including advertising and consumer protection regulations.
• Support overseas office documentation, collaborate with external counsel, handle player complaints, and advise technical teams on legal risks.
• Support the Head of Legal and train employees on intellectual property, compliance, and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree, LL.M., or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of professional legal experience, preferably as in-house counsel in IT or game development.
• Hands-on experience drafting a wide range of contracts and strong contract negotiation skills.
• Basic knowledge of intellectual property law.
• Excellent contract drafting skills in both Russian and English are required.
• Ability to work with security, anti-cheat, and development teams, with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential matters.
