TL;DR
Legal Counsel (Gaming): Building and leading the legal function for a multi-entity gaming group with an accent on regulatory licensing, corporate structuring, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and data protection. Focus on designing group-wide compliance frameworks, managing cross-border legal risks and disputes, and building scalable legal processes across jurisdictions.
Location: Singapore or Kuala Lumpur; hybrid work with 1 day working from home per week

What you will do
- Build and lead the legal function across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional gaming group.
- Lead regulatory matters, including licensing applications, renewals, compliance, and market-entry assessments.
- Advise on corporate structuring, governance, M&A, and corporate restructuring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate B2B licensing, marketing, vendor, and third-party service agreements.
- Manage intellectual property strategy, data protection compliance, disputes, litigation, investigations, and employment-related legal matters.
- Build legal processes, templates, playbooks, training programs, and external counsel relationships.
Requirements
- Law degree from a recognised university.
- Qualified lawyer in Singapore, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, or another common law jurisdiction, with 5–8 years of legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of IP/TMT, regulatory regimes, and licensing processes.
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a technology or gaming context.
- Strong analytical, organisational, prioritisation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a lean, fast-paced, multi-entity environment and balance legal constraints with business objectives.

- Experience in technology, gaming, or digital services.
- Experience with corporate structuring or cross-border data protection regimes.
