Legal Counsel (Live Productions, US / UK Qualified)

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on agreements across content development, event production, distribution, marketing, sponsorship, and talent engagements, improving contract templates and processes.
• Identify legal risks and design mitigation strategies to support smooth execution of events and content initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
• Conduct legal research and deliver clear, actionable guidance to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage legal projects and contract workflows; maintain legal databases; support internal compliance including intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory matters.
• Support incident management and dispute resolution efforts with litigation specialists and coordinate stakeholder responses.
• Prepare and update internal templates, legal guides, and documents; contribute to training, memorandums, and presentations for the Legal Department.

Requirements

• Location: Madrid, Spain (expected to move to hirify.global’s HQ in Madrid if currently living elsewhere).
• Qualified US or UK barred lawyer with 4+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in-house in experience-economy and/or live production.
• Native or bilingual English is a must.
• Strong business judgment with the ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Ability to own projects, prioritize resources, and handle multiple time-sensitive matters simultaneously.
• Effective communication with emotional intelligence; clear advice to executives, business, and creative teams.
