TL;DR
Technician, Facility Services, Low Voltage-Licensed (Low Voltage) (Security, Fire Alarm, CCTV, and Network Cabling): Installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing low-voltage systems in a Walmart facility with an accent on cabling, system reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. Focus on diagnosing faults, performing upgrades, documenting maintenance, and safely operating and maintaining assigned commercial vehicles.

Location: Onsite at 4250 Phillips Hwy, Jacksonville, Florida 32207-6730, United States

Salary: $33.00–$63.00 per hour. Additional premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour may apply in specific circumstances.

What you will do

  • Install, configure, support, inspect, maintain, and test low-voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/visual systems, and network cabling.
  • Run, terminate, label, and test cabling according to project requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve system faults, outages, and performance issues; repair or replace damaged components.
  • Evaluate existing systems and perform upgrades to improve reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance records and provide technical support and basic user training.
  • Coordinate with technicians, engineers, project managers, and business partners while safely operating and maintaining assigned commercial vehicles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • State- or jurisdiction-required low-voltage certification and license must be held and maintained.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license, acceptable commercial driving record, ability to pass a motor vehicle report, and ability to complete a DOT physical and obtain medical certification.
  • At least one year of experience in plumbing, electrical work, material handling equipment, or a related technical trade, or two years of Walmart store experience.
  • Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams; using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment; and applying local electrical codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and speak English is required.

Nice to have

  • CompTIA networking certification such as Network+.
  • Manufacturer-specific certifications for Honeywell, Axis, or Bosch systems.
  • NICET Level 1 or 2 Fire Alarm Certification.
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety certification.
  • Technical training or certification in low-voltage systems.
