Field Service Technician (Appliance Repair) - Newark, NJ

Location: New Jersey, with required coverage of the Newark metro area and surrounding areas including Newark, Elizabeth, and Jersey City

Salary: $25.25–$29.75 USD per hour

What you will do

• Travel to customer homes to maintain and repair LG appliances, TVs, and A/C units.
• Diagnose electronics and appliance problems using tools and diagnostic test equipment.
• Assess repair needs, replace parts, and document technical findings.
• Use required safety equipment, vehicles, and diagnostic tools.
• Pre-screen upcoming service calls and collect information to support diagnosis.
• Process job paperwork and data entry while meeting customer satisfaction, first-time-fix, parts management, and other service metrics.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a technical role; appliance repair experience is preferred.
• Experience repairing major appliances, including refrigeration and sealed systems, cooking, and cleaning products.
• Experience using tools and diagnostic test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document product or system issues.
• Valid driver's license in good standing and ability to obtain appropriate EPA certification.
• Ability to perform field service work involving continuous bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
