Mechanical Engineer II (Defense)

What you will do

• Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings in SolidWorks.
• Reverse-engineer obsolete airborne and ground-based systems for sustainment, upgrades, and replacement.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical systems using root cause analysis.
• Write and review technical documentation covering systems, standards, processes, operations, products, and services.
• Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, and engineering teams on planning, scheduling, and milestones.
• Support fabrication, operation, installation, application, and repair of mechanical products in laboratory environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline from an ABET-accredited school.
• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• At least two years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and GD&T preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Engineer in Training certificate or Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Experience with ANSYS or other finite element analysis software.
• Experience with military standards and processes.
