Field Service Calibration Technician (57554)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, United States; local and regional customer sites. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

What you will do

• Perform calibration and maintenance activities independently and as part of a team.
• Calibrate and repair mechanical and electrical measurement, inspection, and testing equipment.
• Evaluate environmental conditions and the suitability of standards used during calibration.
• Identify, document, and catalog instrumentation according to organizational practices.
• Follow OSHA requirements at customer jobsites and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Travel to local and regional customers, with up to 80% local travel.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on experience calibrating mechanical and electrical measuring, inspection, and testing instruments.
• Experience with equipment such as environmental chambers, ovens, controllers, relays, data loggers, pressure devices, meters, timers, tachometers, thermometers, and infrared pyrometers.
• Ability to work 40 or more hours per week and complete required overtime.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds.
• U.S. Person status is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee status, or asylum status; a clean driving record, background check, and drug screen are also required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Commercial or military calibration experience.
