Treasury Accountant - 6m Contract (Banking)

Location: London, UK; hybrid working

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Prepare financial statements, disclosures, management reporting, and daily or periodic Treasury reports.
• Review Treasury transactions, accounting entries, and journals for accuracy.
• Support IFRS accounting assessments and maintain accounting policies.
• Investigate accounting issues and resolve booking discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audits while maintaining strong financial controls.
• Contribute to finance transformation, systems, and process improvement projects.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant required; ACA qualification preferred.
• Big Four background required.
• Immediate availability or a notice period of no more than two weeks.
• Post-qualified experience in financial services, banking, or a relevant industry; newly qualified candidates from Big Four audit are also considered.
• Experience with financial reporting or audit, strong knowledge of IFRS, and strong Excel, analytical, and numerical skills.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work with Finance, Treasury, Operations, Front Office, Audit, and other stakeholder groups.

Nice to have

• Treasury or financial markets experience.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, or similar systems.
