Sr Expert Technology Implementation & Consulting (General) (Microsoft 365)

Location: North Sydney, Australia. The role requires flexibility to work outside normal business hours to support differing time zones.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration projects for consolidations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and rebranding initiatives.
• Assess source and target environments, identify dependencies and risks, and prepare migration strategies, waves, runbooks, cutover plans, and rollback procedures.
• Execute pilot, pre-stage, delta, and production migrations across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, identities, and endpoints.
• Support Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect, Group Policy, UPN, SMTP, domain, and identity transformation activities.
• Manage endpoint migration activities, including Intune enrollment, device readiness, compliance validation, and user onboarding.
• Coordinate migration activities with project managers, technical teams, service desks, vendors, and clients; provide status reporting, remediation updates, hypercare, and operational handover.

Requirements

• Strong experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration projects.
• Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and hybrid identity environments.
• Knowledge of mail flow, SMTP routing, DNS, domain migration, messaging concepts, and Microsoft Entra Connect troubleshooting.
• Experience with endpoint migration and Microsoft Intune, plus enterprise migration tools such as AvePoint, Quest, BitTitan, or ShareGate.
• Experience using PowerShell for Microsoft 365 administration, reporting, and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, stakeholder coordination, and structured project delivery skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft 365 merger, acquisition, divestiture, tenant consolidation, or enterprise-scale migration programs.
• Consulting, managed services, or professional services experience.
• Microsoft 365, Identity and Access, Teams, Endpoint, or Azure Administrator certifications.
