Senior Engineer, Tooling & Automation

Location: BangPa-in, Thailand; onsite at BangPa-In Building 4

Global data-storage and manufacturing company building storage systems and infrastructure for AI-driven data applications, cloud platforms, hyperscale data centers, and enterprise systems.

What you will do

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, containment actions, and long-term solutions for tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment.
• Maintain tooling configurations and process flows, and use Cpk, MTBF, and MTTR indicators to respond to abnormalities.
• Upgrade and modify jigs and fixtures, create and revise tooling setups and procedures, and manage trigger limits and OCAP flows.
• Support product and technology transfers and standardize tooling systems across related manufacturing sites.
• Train technicians and manufacturing personnel, supervise technical crew, and consult with engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with vendors, EHS officers, and managers on spare parts, risk mitigation, safety, and operational compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Experience troubleshooting tooling, jigs, fixtures, automated equipment, PLCs, HMIs, and control systems.
• Python programming for automation, data analysis, equipment monitoring, and dashboard development.
• Written, listening, and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety, ESD, contamination control, technical documentation, and risk analysis.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of HDD manufacturing, IMS, BCM, RBA, sustainability, fire prevention, and Industry 5.0.
• Experience with SPC, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D, Kaizen, QCC, and basic statistics.
• Knowledge of robotics, machine vision, sensors, pneumatics, microcontrollers, mechanical drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience applying AI and machine learning to predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and fault diagnosis.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Minitab, and Spotfire.
