TL;DR
Data Testing Engineer (Python/SQL): Developing and executing quality assurance processes for data products, including test cases, automation scripts, ETL testing, and data pipeline validation with an accent on end-to-end QA automation, PySpark, API, and CI/CD testing. Focus on building testing frameworks, coordinating releases, improving test coverage, and maintaining quality standards across cloud, data, and application engineering efforts.
Location: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram, Pune, or Chennai, India

What you will do
- Develop test plans, scenarios, cases, and test data for cloud, data, and application engineering efforts.
- Own end-to-end manual QA and automation processes, including unit, functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Build and maintain QA processes, automation scripts, quality standards, and testing roadmaps with product and development teams.
- Test ETL processes, data pipelines, PySpark code, APIs, and data products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate platform releases, oversee test execution, document defects, troubleshoot quality issues, and manage deployment readiness.
- Define quality KPIs and collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, and development leads.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years as a QA Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience with ETL testing, data pipelines, Python and SQL scripting.
- Expertise in automation testing and creation of end-to-end use cases.
- Experience testing PySpark code and APIs, using Python BDD automation frameworks, Docker containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, DevOps principles, and Agile development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have
- QA management experience.
- Experience improving product test coverage and effectiveness across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Selenium automation testing using Python and Pytest.
