Senior Automation Engineer - SDET (AI)

What you will do

• Implement, maintain, and extend scalable automation frameworks for an engineering team.
• Develop automated tests for complex, high-value SaaS features and provide technical coaching on advanced test development practices.
• Implement automated PR, release, and post-deployment quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and execute integration, end-to-end, API, contract, performance, and service resiliency or chaos tests.
• Maintain compliant, on-demand, production-like test data solutions with PII masking and synthetic data generation.
• Collaborate with developers to support shift-left testing and improve unit and functional test quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Cypress and automated test solutions for cloud-hosted SaaS products.
• Expertise in designing and enhancing automation frameworks, including integration, E2E, API, and contract testing.
• Experience with CI tools and embedding automated quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with quality metrics, TestRail, JIRA traceability, automation health monitoring, and root cause analysis of flaky tests.
• Knowledge of non-functional testing, including performance and security testing, and test data management concepts.
• Ability to work from the Bangalore office.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/LLM tools such as Cursor or ChatGPT for test generation, defect analysis, or synthetic test data creation.
• Experience building internal bots or developer-facing automation using AI.
• Familiarity with AI-augmented testing solutions and emerging testing practices.
