What you will do
- Serve as a scientific liaison to medical and scientific communities, healthcare partners, prominent experts, and clinicians.
- Educate and communicate clinical, scientific, outcomes, and economic data to healthcare stakeholders, payers, providers, advocacy groups, and access enablers.
- Build and execute scientific engagement plans and local opinion-leader plans aligned with annual MSL goals.
- Provide field observations and insights to internal collaborators and respond to unsolicited inquiries in accordance with MSL compliance standards.
- Support sponsored and non-sponsored clinical research, including potential study-lead responsibilities.
- Lead or support congress activities, speaker training, cross-functional projects, and MSL mentoring.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
- Experience in scientific or medical affairs, clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
- Ability to maintain clinical acuity, complete assigned training, and communicate with tact and integrity.
- Ability to work across the Maryland, Washington, DC, and Delaware territory in the United States.
Nice to have
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.
- Two or more years of scientific or medical affairs experience at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
- Three or more years of clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research, including post-doctoral training, residencies, or fellowships.
- Rare disease therapeutic-area expertise.
