Facilities Maintenance Engineer (Warehouse)

Location: On-site in Plainfield, Indiana, United States, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; weekend and after-hours availability required.

Salary: USD $88,700–$150,800 per year

What you will do

• Oversee daily facility operations, safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Plan, budget, and manage maintenance, renovation, tenant improvement, build-out, and expansion projects.
• Manage landlords, vendors, contractors, and service providers, including contract negotiations, performance, and costs.
• Develop capital plans and manage tenant improvement allowances and construction-related expenditures.
• Review project designs, budgets, and specifications for quality, efficiency, and building-code compliance.
• Drive sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives, coordinate space planning and office moves, and lead facilities staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, construction management, real estate, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of facilities management experience, including multi-site operations.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service providers, including contract negotiations and performance management.
• Experience leading tenant improvement projects, renovations, office build-outs, and facility upgrades.
• Expertise in budgeting, capital planning, cost estimation, and tenant improvement allowances.
• Working knowledge of building systems, building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance; successful completion of a drug test and post-offer background check required.
