Location: U.S. territory covering Washington, DC, Maryland, Delaware, and West Virginia. Travel up to 60% is required, including regional and national conferences, workshops, company meetings, and territory management.

What you will do

  • Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical and scientific community and build relationships with prominent experts and clinicians.
  • Partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, group practices, medical directors, managed care decision-makers, and pharmacy directors.
  • Communicate scientific, medical, commercial, and health economic information to internal and external audiences.
  • Identify customer needs, connect them with internal resources, and collaborate across functional areas.
  • Support external speaker programs by identifying speakers and training them on scientific content.
  • Evaluate clinical research collaboration opportunities, facilitate investigator-initiated and company-sponsored trials, and monitor competitive developments.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
  • Preferred background includes Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
  • Preferred experience includes 2 years in scientific or medical affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company and 2+ years in a Medical Science Liaison role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a changing environment and travel up to 60% across the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new business applications across PC and iPad hardware.
