Senior Manager: Manufacturing Material Handling (Biotechnology)

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Material Handling organization supporting 24/7 GMP manufacturing operations.
• Oversee receipt, staging, movement, storage, inventory control, and delivery of materials between warehouse and manufacturing operations.
• Lead operational readiness activities for facility startup and sustained commercial manufacturing performance.
• Manage material flow, replenishment, inventory accuracy, reconciliation, cycle counting, and GMP inventory control.
• Own the Manufacturing Material Transfer Equipment program, including lifecycle management, qualification, maintenance coordination, and readiness.
• Drive safety, quality, regulatory compliance, Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, investigations, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience; or Master’s degree and 6 years; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years; Associate’s degree and 10 years; or high school diploma/GED and 12 years.
• At least 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
• Experience supporting GMP manufacturing operations, preferably in biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience with GMP material handling, manufacturing logistics, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of GMP material management, inventory control, material traceability, regulatory compliance, and electronic inventory systems such as SAP, MES, electronic batch records, or barcode/RFID technologies.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
