Director, Operations (Specialty Chemicals): Leading manufacturing operations across a three-facility specialty chemicals network with an accent on safety, reliability, scalability, and customer fulfillment. Focus on driving OEE improvement, debottlenecking, production ramp-up readiness, capital execution, and leadership development across Toronto, Ambler, and Riegelwood.

Location: Ambler, Pennsylvania, with approximately 50% travel to facilities in Toronto, Ambler, and Riegelwood

What you will do

  • Lead manufacturing operations across the three-site Specialty Chemicals network.
  • Set the Safety First agenda and strengthen EHS ownership, compliance, risk reduction, and safety culture.
  • Translate business priorities into manufacturing strategies, resource plans, and execution discipline.
  • Drive production ramp-up readiness, manufacturing scalability, capacity planning, and cross-functional execution.
  • Advance continuous improvement through debottlenecking, OEE improvement, yield, cycle time, productivity, cost, and customer fulfillment initiatives.
  • Develop site leaders and build a connected, accountable operations organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, operations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing, operations, or supply chain leadership experience in specialty chemicals, semiconductor, or other technical manufacturing environments.
  • Proven multi-site operations leadership experience across safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, resource planning, and operational performance.
  • Experience building manufacturing operating systems with OEE, KPI governance, capacity visibility, labor planning, performance reviews, and standard work.
  • Strong record of continuous improvement, debottlenecking, yield improvement, throughput expansion, productivity improvement, and capital execution.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Toronto, Ambler, and Riegelwood; approximately 50% travel is required.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree.
  • SAP or other ERP/MRP experience.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing performance systems, data analytics, and digital tools.
