Product Manager (Biodefense)

What you will do

• Define product strategy and commercial execution for biodefense programs.
• Identify and develop government opportunities, mapping requirements to funding sources.
• Design technical evaluations and performance benchmarks for government buyers.
• Translate deployment constraints into product requirements for model integration.
• Build early prototypes to demonstrate workflows and validate product-market fit.
• Manage the commercial process through award, including pricing and deal structure.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proven experience winning or delivering technical programs for the US government.
• Working fluency in pathogen genomics and biosurveillance.
• Ability to build early prototypes to test workflows and interrogate model output.
• Experience navigating data authority, software authorization, and procurement challenges.
• Willingness and eligibility to pursue a US security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience inside a national laboratory, defense agency, or FFRDC.
• Experience deploying scientific software into disconnected or classified environments.
• Scientific training in microbiology, virology, bioinformatics, or public health.
