Technical Product Manager (AI Systems)

What you will do

• Define end-to-end requirements for AI capabilities spanning model behavior, system behavior, and user experience.
• Translate model capabilities, evaluation results, and technical constraints into product and system decisions.
• Balance quality, latency, cost, reliability, safety, and UX when making product trade-offs.
• Collaborate with ML, backend, and client engineers on system design, evaluation, and iteration.
• Define evaluation frameworks across offline metrics, online experiments, and human feedback.
• Own product quality, correctness, reliability, usefulness, and user trust while driving execution through clear specifications and prioritization.

Requirements

• Strong computer science fundamentals and system design skills.
• Solid understanding of modern ML and how AI systems behave in production.
• Ability to read technical designs, understand architectures, and engage deeply with engineers.
• Experience owning complex technical products end-to-end and working with AI-powered products, particularly LLM-based systems.
• Experience with model evaluation, experimentation, prompting, or AI system iteration.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements, measurable outcomes, and executable plans.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping AI-heavy consumer products.
• Engineering background or experience as a highly technical product manager.
• Experience defining evaluation metrics for ML systems.
• Experience with AI UX patterns, failure handling, and zero-to-one product environments.
