Claim Specialist - Property Field Inspection

Location: Colorado Springs and Castle Rock, Colorado; candidates must reside within the listed ZIP-code territory and service the same area. Remote-field work is performed from home with a mobile office or vehicle and requires in-person property inspections, with occasional travel to other territories.

Salary: $63,089.65–$90,000 annually, plus potential incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Conduct on-site inspections and assess damage for residential and commercial properties.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed claims reports.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms while applying regulations, industry standards, and company guidelines.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to resolve claims.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits while providing professional customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, make supported decisions, and interpret detailed policies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency with mobile and desktop tools for documenting claims in the field and remotely.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, navigate roofs at various heights, and crawl in tight spaces.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Successful completion of required training, licensing examinations, motor-vehicle-record checks, background checks, and possible pre-employment assessments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent property-claims experience.
• Knowledge of property insurance policies, claim handling, and residential and commercial construction.
• Water mitigation inspection experience.
• Experience with Xactimate and XactContents.
