Location: Remote within the lower 48 U.S. states; field roles require day travel to policy locations 3–4 days per week, with possible overnight travel. Candidates must be located in or able to relocate to Austin, Dallas, Philadelphia, San Joaquin or Stanislaus, South Central Pennsylvania, Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Tidewater/Virginia Beach, Rhode Island or Eastern Connecticut. National Catastrophe roles are available within 50 miles of major metropolitan areas in the Northeast, West, and Midwest.
Salary: $62,500–$115,500 annually; expected starting range: $62,500–$93,500.

What you will do
- Investigate and resolve moderate to severe property damage claims by phone and through face-to-face inspections.
- Determine policy coverage, apply claims practices, and make decisions within delegated authority.
- Open, close, and adjust reserves while maintaining accurate claim files and required reports.
- Assess repair requirements, local market pricing, and property loss estimates using claims systems and estimating software.
- Partner with Special Investigations and Subrogation teams to identify fraud, subrogation, litigation, and trial opportunities.
- Provide clear, professional service to policyholders, claimants, repair professionals, attorneys, agents, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Three to five years of property claims handling or adjusting experience; an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Xactimate or comparable estimating platforms; obtain Xactimate Level 1 certification within one year and Level 2 within two years.
- Knowledge of insurance theory, policies, coverage application, investigations, settlements, repair procedures, and property estimating.
- Background in construction, roofing, remodeling, or water mitigation is applicable to the role.
- Must be able to perform physical property inspections, climb ladders, access first- and second-story rooftops up to an 8/12 pitch, and work outdoors in all weather.
- Catastrophe duty is required, including 21-day assignments with 12-hour workdays; a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.
