Senior Business Intelligence Consultant (Power BI)

Location: Remote

Salary: $88,000–$118,000 per year, plus potential annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for data and analytics support issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex challenges across Power BI, Fabric, Azure, and other analytics platforms.
• Lead client discovery and requirements-gathering discussions and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Support onboarding for new managed services clients and maintain technical and client documentation.
• Partner with client success, delivery, and consulting teams to drive successful client outcomes.
• Mentor support team members and contribute to knowledge sharing, internal training, continuous improvement, and AI-enabled productivity initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting, developing, or implementing analytics, business intelligence, or data solutions.
• At least 5 years of professional services or relevant private-industry experience, including at least 1 year in professional services.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI report development, data modeling, troubleshooting, and administration.
• Experience writing and troubleshooting T-SQL queries.
• Experience gathering business requirements and delivering analytics solutions in a client-facing consulting, managed services, or internal support environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or Entra ID.
• Experience with PowerShell automation, Python, or PySpark.
• Experience with Qlik products.
• Training, support, consulting, or advisory experience.
