Instructional System Design & eLearning Specialist

Location: Onsite at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive eLearning, web-based, and classroom training materials using ADDIE and instructional systems design principles.
• Partner with flight controllers, instructors, engineers, and subject matter experts to analyze training needs and translate technical requirements into instructional assets.
• Update training content for Artemis missions while adapting legacy International Space Station modules for multi-program operations.
• Coordinate and support Space Flight Academy, Instructor Training Courses, evaluator and mentor modules, and train-the-trainer initiatives.
• Create scripts, storyboards, interactive courseware, and multimedia assets using Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Manage training projects from inception through delivery, including schedules, milestones, resources, stakeholder communication, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of direct experience developing technical training or eLearning solutions.
• Digital portfolio demonstrating end-to-end instructional systems design deliverables, eLearning interactions, and multimedia work.
• Proficiency with Articulate Storyline or Rise, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite; expertise in ADDIE, storyboarding, and scriptwriting.
• Experience managing training projects, schedules, milestones, resources, and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to support occasional work outside standard business hours, lift and position equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, and navigate training and simulation facilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with flight operations, aerospace systems, or other technical and high-consequence training environments.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SharePoint Online, and wikis.
• Experience with DACUM or formal workforce task analysis methodologies.
