Associate Technical Professional - Maintenance & Reliability Engineering (Naval Aviation): Supporting reliability-centered maintenance, failure analysis, and maintenance optimization for Naval Aviation and weapons systems with an accent on root cause analysis, reliability databases, and equipment performance assessment. Focus on analyzing aircraft and weapons-system failures, evaluating maintenance data, and developing technical documentation and corrective-action recommendations.

Location: Orange Park, Florida, United States. The position is based in Orange Park and requires US citizenship.

What you will do

  • Analyze equipment, component, and system failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collect, evaluate, and maintain maintenance, operational, and reliability data from OOMA, DECKPLATE, NALCOMIS, and engineering databases.
  • Support Reliability-Centered Maintenance, FMECA, Root Cause Analysis, reliability studies, and maintenance optimization initiatives.
  • Review technical manuals, maintenance procedures, engineering changes, waivers, deviations, and technical directives for program compliance.
  • Prepare reliability assessments, failure analysis reports, technical recommendations, presentations, and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, maintenance, quality assurance, and government stakeholders on reliability improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, reliability engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 0–2 years of engineering or reliability analysis experience.
  • Alternatively, relevant military aviation maintenance experience, technical training, and 8 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, failure analysis techniques, maintenance processes, aviation maintenance practices, technical documentation, and quality assurance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Naval Aviation maintenance, ordnance programs, aircraft weapon systems, aircraft gun systems, crew-served weapons, launcher systems, or airborne rocket systems.
  • Familiarity with OOMA, DECKPLATE, NALCOMIS, RCM methodologies, and NAVAIR 00-25-403 guidance.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, maintenance trend analysis, technical data validation, and technical writing.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures.
  • Military aviation maintenance experience with F/A-18, H-60, aircraft armament systems, or related platforms.
