Location: Primarily remote within the U.S. East Coast, with required travel to the Frederick, Maryland project site for major project activities and approximately 3–4 days onsite per month.
Salary: $140,000–$160,000 USD annually, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain cost plans, estimates, forecasts, monthly cost reports, executive summaries, and funding data through design and delivery.
- Coordinate cost information from design teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for validation, auditing, and benchmarking.
- Lead procurement strategy, pricing reviews, scope validation, commercial negotiations, final accounts, and contractor/vendor contract management.
- Own change control by reviewing, estimating, negotiating, and reconciling change orders and post-contract cost variances.
- Manage cost risk, scenario planning, contingency, commitments, cost-control systems, and Earned Value Management where applicable.
- Act as the primary client interface, support value engineering and cost optimization, present executive updates, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7+ years of cost management experience on mission-critical data center projects, including cost planning, forecasting, change management, procurement, and project controls.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, resilience considerations, and campus-scale infrastructure for hyperscale developments.
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, cost-control systems, Earned Value Management, and contractor/vendor commercial management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work remotely from the East Coast and travel to Frederick, Maryland for approximately 3–4 onsite days per month and major project events.

- Construction consultancy experience.
- RICS accreditation or progress toward certification.
- Proficiency with industry-standard cost management tools and software.
