Senior Fleet Mechanic

Location: Rocky Hill, Connecticut, United States; must be physically located in the United States while performing the job

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, production equipment, and specialized equipment.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle chassis, tanks, pumps, spray systems, tractors, forklifts, small engines, aerators, seeders, and spreaders.
• Document repairs accurately in an electronic maintenance management system.
• Maintain parts inventory and keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Coordinate and document outsourced maintenance performed by vendors and local service providers.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs, manage the maintenance budget, and respond to field breakdowns.

Requirements

• Must be physically located in the United States while performing the job.
• High school diploma or GED and five years of automotive mechanic experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certification and/or successful completion of an automotive technology program from a certified school.
• Fluent spoken, written, and read English required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed.
