TL;DR
Fleet Maintenance Tech II (Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic Systems): Diagnosing, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining forklifts, lifts, pallet jacks, tractors, motorized carts, and other fleet equipment with an accent on mechanical drives, electrical controls, and hydraulic systems. Focus on troubleshooting machinery faults, performing preventive maintenance, interpreting circuit diagrams and hydraulic schematics, and completing major equipment repairs safely.

Location: Redmond, Oregon; all work must be conducted on premises

Pay range: $22.99–$34.49 per hour

What you will do

  • Diagnose, repair, adjust, and maintain forklifts, engines, pallet jacks, tractors, motorized carts, lifts, and other fleet equipment.
  • Inspect equipment, replace faulty or damaged parts, and perform routine servicing, cleaning, and lubrication.
  • Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical circuits, machinery controls, automation faults, wiring, cords, plugs, and switches using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Maintain mechanical systems including belt and pulley drives, chain and sprocket drives, shafts, bearings, couplings, and motors.
  • Install, repair, and maintain hydraulic pumps, hoses, valves, cylinders, filters, regulators, and seals.
  • Record preventive maintenance activities, report faulty equipment, requisition materials, and collaborate with other mechanics and management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and certification in a skilled maintenance trade.
  • 1–3 years of basic mechanical experience, with hands-on experience with equipment controls.
  • Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings or blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and ability to learn preventive maintenance software.
  • Current material-handling certification and knowledge of lockout/tagout, lifting and rigging, and preventive or predictive maintenance.
  • Ability to work on premises in a dusty factory environment, at heights exceeding 3 feet, and in extreme heat and cold.
