Senior Full-Stack Engineer (React/Next.js)

Location: Primary residence in or near approved cities in the United States, Canada, or Mexico; occasional in-person attendance is required.

Salary: $151,000–$226,000 in California; $124,000–$214,500 in the United States outside California; CAD 157,500–201,000 in Canada, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby on Rails monolith to a modular microfrontend architecture powered by Next.js.
• Build features and improve document ingestion infrastructure with Data/ML and Content Pipeline teams.
• Create GraphQL APIs and develop services in Node, Python, and Go.
• Prototype and launch product and generative AI experiences for document research, study guides, presentations, and document creation.
• Improve frontend infrastructure, performance, accessibility, SEO, and answer-engine optimization.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and other engineering teams while contributing to a shared design system.

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Production experience with React and Next.js or Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with maintaining cloud services, monitoring service health, and responding to incidents.
• Understanding of performance, accessibility, and SEO.
• Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to clean, documented, maintainable code.
• Primary residence in or near an approved United States, Canadian, or Mexican city is required.
