Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Tribeca, New York; remote on Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tuesday–Thursday. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring new H-1B sponsorship. H-1B transfers and TN visa sponsorship for eligible Canadian and Mexican citizens are supported.

Salary: $185,000–$200,000 base salary annually, plus equity grant. Remote-eligible roles may have localized compensation.

What you will do

• Build products used by thousands of students, faculty, and staff.
• Develop learning experiences, including live instruction and AI-powered tools that improve engagement and outcomes.
• Develop growth systems such as a student information system, federal integrations, payment processing, and scalable student services.
• Own features and projects from ideation through production deployment.
• Contribute across the frontend, backend, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, operators, and engineers to iterate based on feedback.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development skills.
• Experience with Go, Python, React, or similar technologies.
• Experience building and releasing high-quality products or features at scale.
• Ability to own work from design through deployment while balancing speed and maintainability.
• Existing U.S. work authorization without requiring new H-1B sponsorship.

Nice to have
