Senior Software Engineer (Python/React)

Location: New York City, United States; typically 4+ days per week in the office

Salary: $155,000–$220,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Lead complex technical projects from ideation and design through production and deployment.
• Design, architect, and build performant, reliable features, tools, and services for the labor marketplace.
• Improve dispatch algorithms and worker onboarding to increase shift fill rates and worker conversion.
• Drive technical vision, influence product strategy, and conduct regular technical reviews.
• Monitor and maintain product and platform performance in a high-volume, two-sided marketplace.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to scaling the engineering team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience across a variety of technical projects.
• Strong experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React Native, and related technologies.
• Experience working across a modern MERN-oriented technology stack.
• Ability to collaborate with leadership, product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Outcome-oriented, proactive, entrepreneurial approach to ambiguous problems.
• Ability to work from the New York City headquarters at least 4 days per week.
