Principal Systems Design Engineer

Base pay: $192,600–$337,100 annually, plus equity where applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the technical integration roadmap, track dependencies, resolve blockers, and drive delivery across multiple teams.
• Lead infrastructure architecture and hands-on integration work across networking, cloud and SRE, identity and access, and collaboration and messaging.
• Design scalable networking across physical, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud environments, including routing and segmentation.
• Develop multi-cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, GCP, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and SLO/SLA practices.
• Design for SOX, GDPR, NIST, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and CMMC requirements while identifying compliance risks.
• Own the high-availability and disaster-recovery validation framework and run meaningful DR testing.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture.
• Experience leading at least one complex infrastructure integration or M&A integration.
• Expertise in two or three of the core domains and sufficient breadth to identify issues and involve the right specialists.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical programs through influence rather than direct authority.
• Ability to communicate detailed technical topics with engineers and strategic decisions with executives.
• Experience making and owning decisions under incomplete information.

Nice to have

• TOGAF, cloud, or ITIL certifications.
• Experience in regulated environments such as FedRAMP, CMMC, or HIPAA.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow.
