Welder (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Perform precision TIG, MIG, arc, and laser welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, and other aerospace materials.
• Interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols to produce dimensionally accurate work.
• Fabricate, assemble, and pressure-test structural and piping systems for aerospace and defense operations.
• Follow ASME, AWS, and company welding standards and approved procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve fabrication challenges.
• Support safety, quality, continuous improvement, and process optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical welding certification is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision fabrication.
• Proficiency in blueprint interpretation and all-position welding.
• Experience fabricating and welding carbon and stainless steel structures and pipe to specification.
• Ability to pass company weld qualification tests and internal inspections.
• Ability to work overtime and varied shifts, lift 50 pounds, work at heights, and operate in confined or outdoor environments.

Nice to have

• GTAW experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, aluminum, or titanium.
• Knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS D17.1, or MIL-STD welding codes.
• Experience with aerospace components, ground support systems, tube and pipe fabrication, pressure testing, inspection, or NDE methods.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, quality documentation, advanced tooling, and fixturing.
