Fabrication Technician IV - Test & Launch Structures (Aerospace)

Location: Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States; on-site work required at a government partner location

Salary: $41.60–$62.40 per hour

hirify.global develops the Terran R launch vehicle and the manufacturing and launch infrastructure needed to deliver customer payloads to orbit.

What you will do

• Build and integrate launch pad and test-site structures and tooling supporting the Terran R program.
• Install, align, and calibrate rail systems, launch pad infrastructure, and integration tooling.
• Perform field work including match-drilling, precision assembly, and field machining.
• Execute precision drilling, dowelling, epoxy pours, and leveling for anchors, fixtures, and heavy tooling.
• Develop installation plans and build strategies with design and integration teams and third-party vendors.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, including during work in elevated areas.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in fabrication, machining, or heavy industrial assembly.
• Experience operating manual lathes and mills as well as CNC machining systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and shop-related arithmetic.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and ability to collaborate in dynamic team environments.
• Successful candidates must clear a US government-administered background check for on-site work at the Cape Canaveral government partner location.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D CAD models, preferably Teamcenter or NX.
• Experience with structural steel transport, lifting, installation, rigging, and heavy cranes.
• Field machining experience, including magnetic drilling, flange facing, or line boring.
• Experience with laser trackers, large-volume scanners, handheld scanners, Verisurf, or Spatial Analyzer.
• Knowledge of GD&T and DFMA, including prototype-to-production transitions.
